A Message from Orange SMASH Chairman
Lee Ann Fuselier (Access Services)
I would like THANK all of the businesses and individuals that have been pitching in to promote Orange SMASH Weekend. I have enjoyed working with everyone and I believe we are going to have a great event because of your efforts and enthusiasm.
Today we will be having our Official Orange SMASH Ribbon Cutting and
Media Kick-off Event at 3 PM. I hope you are all planning to join us,
as we meet in front of the “Welcome to Orange” sign on Mac Arthur Drive
located between David Self Ford and Lion’s Den Park. (Park your cars in
the David Self Parking Lot.)
In the event of severe weather, the ribbon cutting will be moved inside
the showroom of David Self Ford. We are hoping that the clouds stay
away long enough for us to snap a picture, wave at the TV cameras and
encourage everyone to come out to enjoy the HOT DEALS, GREAT SAVINGS,
AND FUN EVENTS that will take place during Orange SMASH (Summer Music
and Shopping Holiday) Weekend, while they take advantage of tax-free
back-to-school shopping incentives.
After the photo and media opportunity at the “Welcome To Orange” Sign,
we will move inside the David Self Ford showroom to enjoy Orange SMASH
refreshments.
Scavenger Hunt Sponsors are asked to bring the item they plan to
distribute to Scavenger Hunt participants, with them to the Ribbon
Cutting / Kick-off event.
Judging for “THE ALL SMASHED OUT” Best Decorated Storefront Competition
will take place tomorrow, so break out the Orange balloons, streamers,
and SMASH decorations.
Invest in the Chamber

Additionally, we want the community as a whole to understand the asset we can be as a source of information, a promoter of community involvement and much more.
The Chamber is the organization that connects businesses and leads the drive for responsible and profitable growth in the Greater Orange Area.
